Contribution Day
When is NEDCamp's Contribution Day?
Friday, November 13th from 9AM-4pm. Everyone is welcome to join. There is no cost to attend, just make sure to select "Contribution Day" when you register so we know how many folks will be there.
What is a Contribution Day?
Work together with others in the Drupal Community to help move a project along. Contribution Days (historically known as sprints) are an important part of Drupal's growth and provide great opportunities to get involved in contributing to Drupal itself.
Contribution is at the heart of the Drupal community. Contributing to Drupal (being a Maker) helps to build a better product for everyone to use, and is a great opportunity to grow your skills and confidence. Many employers and even end-user clients look to work with individuals who have a track record of contribution.
Who should come?
Everyone! You don't need to be a developer to contribute. Opportunities include:
- writing code for new features
- testing
- performing UX or accessibility reviews
- documenting how to use Drupal
- building marketing resources for organizations to use
- or mentoring others building their skills in any of these ways
If you are new to contributing or not sure where to get started, we will have people to assist you.
What will folks be working on?
- Jump into the Drupal issue queue, find something that sparks your interest, and join us in the contribution room to bring it across the finish line! As we get closer, NEDCamp organizers may share specific initiatives right here and in the schedule. At the heart of it all, we simply want to give you a welcoming space to contribute, connect, and work on the things that make you happy.
