As we announced earlier, we’re going fully virtual this year, but with a twist. Instead of the back-to-back sessions of a typical online conference, we’re trying a new format that we’re calling the BOFCon.
As DrupalCon describes, Birds of a Feather (BOFs) are informal gatherings of like-minded individuals who wish to discuss a certain topic with an open conversational format. BOFs are one of the many things that make our global Drupal community so special.
By centering NEDCamp 2020 around virtual BOFs instead of traditional presentations, we hope to recreate the excitement, connections and conversations of our physical camp.
Submit Your Topic
If you have an idea for a BoF topic, please submit it here where you can:
- Provide the BoF topic.
- Include at least 3 discussion questions around the topic to help structure the session.
- Indicate if you are willing to lead the BoF discussion a BoF Leader (more below).
Submissions will be open until midnight, Wednesday September 30.
What is involved to be a BoF Leader?
The role of the BoF Leader would be to:
- Introduce each topic discussion question.
- Moderate attendees to make sure everyone gets a chance to answer.
- Have some thought provoking questions prepared.
A NEDCamp volunteer will be there with you as the "Zoom Host" to help you with the session, provide technical support and enforce the code of conduct.
None of this could happen without our 2020-21 sponsors Oomph, Inc., Acquia, Redfin Solutions, Chromatic, Contegix, Talking Drupal and Common Media. We’re grateful for their generous support of the New England Drupal community. If your company is interested in helping make NEDCamp a reality, check out our digital sponsorship package for 2020.
